Ligaolahraga.com –

Badminton news: Indonesia’s world number 16 men’s doubles specialist Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan immediately apologized on Wednesday after a video of him speaking inappropriate language during a TikTok livestream went viral ago few days.

The 22-year-old who won the 2022 Badminton Asian Championships (BAC) with Pramudya Kusumawardana on May 1, 2022, apologized to everyone who was offended by the inappropriate comments he made.

“Hello everyone. I am Yeremia, I apologize to the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI), the president of NOC Indonesia and all Indonesian badminton fans,” PBSI and Rambitan uploaded an apology video to their official social media account.

“I am sorry for my actions. I made a mistake when I joked with inappropriate words,” Jeremiah added.

Yeremia Rambitan admitted receiving a warning from PBSI on this matter.

“I was very reprimanded by my coach for this, and again, I want to apologize to everyone,” Rambitan continued.

In a video that got him into trouble, he is heard saying, “I love you, I want to fuck you.”

When PBSI General Secretary Muhammad Fadil Imran was asked by the media if PBSI would sentence Rambitan, Imran said it would be a lesson not only for Rambitan but for all Indonesian badminton players.

“I think getting a warning from the PBSI general secretary is serious enough for him. Also, he has received a lot of criticism from his fans. He has assessed the situation and realized that he did something wrong,” Imran said.

“In the future, all players of the national team must be very careful in their behavior when using the Internet. Let’s hope this doesn’t happen again!” Imran explained.
