With second place in Normandy, 18-year-old Kenza Cossu is rewarded for a strong competition. A gymnast is also convincing.

Judoka Kenza Cossu won the silver medal at the Gymnasiade in Normandy. The 18-year-old from the Judo et Jujitsu Club de Bonnevoie only lost in the final of the -63 kg weight class against the French local hero Melkia Auchecorne. “What an achievement,” writes the judo association on social media.

A Luxembourger wins a silver medal at a European Judo Championship. Kenza Cossu is only 17 years old. And she still has a lot to do.

Gymnast Quentin Brandenburger, who finished fifth in the all-around with 74,600 points, can also be proud. After the first three apparatuses (rings, pommel horse, floor), the 18-year-old even made it into the final in second place. After high bar and parallel bars, Brandenburger slipped a bit. The winner was Frenchman Romain Cavallaro (77.216).
