- 11 o’clock 47. Nice weather. Nothing seems to stand in the way of a bunch sprint. Not the course and not the weather. We don’t get to see much more than a few clouds above Lake Balaton, the temperature fluctuates around 17°C and there is a negligible wind blowing from the east. †

- 10 am 10. Ewan vs Cavendish? Who are the top sprinters in this peloton? We initially think of Caleb Ewan and Mark Cavendish. Ewan had a serious fall on Friday and may be licking his wounds. The challengers include Fernando Gaviria, Cees Bol, Alberto Dainese, Arnaud Démare, Biniam Girmay, Giacomo Nizzolo and Edward Theuns. Mathieu van der Poel will probably provide the lead-out for team mate Jakub Mareczko. †

- 10 am 07. 3rd stage in the Giro. An opening day for the punchers, a time trial with a treacherous finish and a pure sprinter’s ride: the Grande Partenza in Hungary cuts the last piece today. The dessert is therefore a flat ride of 201 kilometers towards Lake Balaton. The roads are slightly undulating, but this must and will be the first of seven sprinters’ chances. †
