“Looks like a…”: Not all fans are happy with the new Bayern jersey – Bundesliga

Big day for Bayern fans!

The German champions have published the new home jersey for the coming season on their website.

But not all fans are happy with the new outfit, as several comments on Twitter show!

  • “Phew, not so successful, the horizontal stripes really mess up…”
  • “Then I’ll probably go to the field in my pajamas next season…”
  • “Looks like pajamas…”
  • “Was the task here to make the jersey even uglier?”

Main difference to the old jersey: The color white is back! While only the three Adidas stripes on the shoulders were white on the old jersey, the designers of the new jersey have white horizontal stripes of varying widths across the entire height of the shirt on the front. With the old one, the accents were set with light red lines in the form of arrows on a dark red background. The back is completely red except for a “Mia san mia” lettering on the neck.

Also noticeable: The red of the new shirt is lighter, brighter, stronger than the dark red of the old one. In addition, the white round-neck collar (previously V-neck in the color of the jersey) is an eye-catcher.

Notable: Bayern launches two versions of the home kit. The more expensive “Authentic” shirt (German: authentic) will be worn by the pros at the games. It costs 139.95 euros. For fans who find that too expensive, there will be another one normal execution offered for 89.95 euros. From a purely visual point of view, the only difference is that the “Authentic” has a rounded, white hem.

If you look closely, you will also see that the logo of the main sponsor Telekom looks different than in the current season.

The telecommunications company recently announced that the logo is to be renewed: “As part of its umbrella brand strategy, Telekom will in future use the new group logo in all national companies that appear under the T brand. In the form 1-T-1 (Digit-T-Digit), the logo is the basis of a clear brand architecture. The T is becoming more compact.”

Of course, jerseys are also available with the name and number of a player (10 euros extra) and with individual flocking (15 euros extra). In addition, fans can choose from five different patches (“Champion”, “CL Set”, “Series Champion”, “Champion + Series Champion” and “CL Set + Series Champion”) at no extra charge.

It is to be hoped that the fans will quickly get used to the new Bayern look and not all think like “Sebastian X” on Twitter: “… No go for such a big club.”
