The Leganés athletes are leaving the pavilion very high for the summer holidays. Whether individually, as a couple or as a team, sport in Leganés is up to the task, achieving great results that we want to recognize and applaud from Leganés Activo. We review them:

Jiu-Jitsu European runners-up

The couple formed by Carlos Bohoyo and Ignacio Llorente continues to hang metals in international competitions. This resident of Leganés has won the silver of the Jiu-Jitsu European Championship in the show modality and the fourth place in Male Duo.

National Archery League

The Liga Nacional RFETA Iberdrola 2021/2022 continues in dispute in the Junior, Cadet and Under 14 categories. Some competitions in which the Leganés Archers Club does nothing more than obtain medals, and they have boasted of it through social networks.

While María Vilchez and María Mondejar reached the quarterfinals, and Aarón, the youngest of the team, made it through to the eighth; Isaac Hernán was proclaimed champion in the compound bow for children under 14 years of age, a triumph given that it is one of the most complicated modalities. !! Marta Calvo, champion of university Spain

The taekwondo player Marta Calvo has won the gold in the Spanish university championship. The young woman competed in the competition over the weekend, facing all the federated taekwondists with her university teams and taking gold in the -62kg category. A great result for the athlete who is fighting to qualify for the Olympic Games.

Madrid Under-18 and Under-23 Athletics Championships

This weekend the U18 and U23 Madrid Championships were held, in which the athletes from the Leganés Athletics Club worked hard. In one of the last competitions of the season, the club has brought to the city 5 bronzes and one silver.

Silvia Domingo has hung the bronze in 100 meters fence sub23; she, like Ruben Scurtu in the sub18 hammer, Eloy Romero in the 110 meter hurdle sub18, Ruben García in the sub18 height and Mario Hernández Moñux, in the 100 meter dash sub18.

For his part, David Carbón also continues to expand his record with a silver medal in the 200 meter dash. The young man, who competed in the sub23 category, has brought the metal to Leganés with the desire to turn it into gold in the next competition.

Madrid badminton champion

Four have been the metals achieved in the regional sub15-19 by the Leganés Badminton Club, held in Morata de Tajuña today May 29. A great achievement that resumes the success that was had for some time in the lower categories of the club.

The couple made up of Mario Pitera and Inés Gutiérrez, who are gradually consolidating themselves in the competitions, won the silver medal in the sub15 mixed doubles category.

And with Polina Prykohkdo came the biggest hit of the day. It is her second tournament as a player of the Leganés Badminton Club and she has already climbed to the top of the podium. On this occasion, she won gold in the U15 Women’s Singles and silver in the U15 Women’s Doubles, along with Rocío González from the Ciudad de Villalba club, proclaiming herself champion of Madrid.

Bea Corrales and her team, champions of France

The badminton player, Bea Corrales has celebrated this weekend the end of the league in France, where she currently plays. A competition that leaders have finished for the 7th consecutive time. The young woman from Leganés has posed with her medal and the proud cup of her despite the complications of the season.

I Rhythmic Gymnastics Spring Schools Tournament

The final stretch of the season is here and with it the desire to continue competing. For this reason, the Leganés Rhythmic Gymnastics Club has competed in the 1st Spring Schools Tournament with great results.

Inés Fraile has managed to get on the podium and win the gold medal while the group of cadets took silver, as did Adelina Fominikh in hoop and clubs. The fry ended up hanging the bronze and Andrea López finished in 5th position.
