Last Saturday, the Parc Central Ágora hosted the act of commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Nou Básquet Torrent, in an event in which historical and current teams, players, coaches and directors of the club gathered, who were recognized for their work to make grow basketball in the city during the last five decades. The event was attended by Mayor Jesús Ros accompanied by the Councilor for Sports, Susi Ferrer, and other members of the Municipal Corporation, who were present to pay tribute to this historic complex.
After congratulating the members of the Nou Básquet Torrent and the club itself for its fifty years of history, the Councilor for Sports, Susi Ferrer, wanted to show her gratitude for “training not only players, but also people”. The mayor also highlighted “the work of the club to enrich the sporting heritage of our city, fighting to promote sports in Torrent for generations, so that today we can proudly say that Torrent viu l’esport”.
