Manager Bob Melvin delivered bad news regarding the rehabilitation of the Dominican shortstop and warned that he will not be able to get on a motorcycle again.

Two weeks before the start of the 2022 season at the Major League Baseball (MLB)the Dominican Fernando Tatis Jr. suffered a broken wrist, missing the start of the current campaign with San Diego Padresand for worse, very far from a positive recovery.

The above, after the manager Bob Melvin provide an update on the shortstop’s medical status, revealing a worrying situation, since not authorized to conduct batting practiceeven though he can perform other baseball actions.

“It is still behind the level of recovery progress, in fact, we are not even there yet”reported the Padres strategist, who added that Tatis Jr. underwent an MRI as part of his rehabilitation follow-up last Monday, and the results show that the doll has not recovered satisfactorily to authorize you to start swinging in MLB.

Let us remember that Tatis Jr. suffered an accident on his motorcycle during the offseason, in the Dominican Republic, where the Padres assure that this fact was the cause of a broken scaphoid bone in one of your wristsfor the same reason, Melvin is emphatic in stating that “his motorcycle days are over”.
