Square Enix’s The Centennial Case is best newcomer • JPGAMES.DE

The current Japanese sales charts for the week of May 9, 2022 to May 15, 2022 are available. Nintendo Switch Sports was able to defend the lead with a further 48,000 units sold, and relatively little has happened behind it.

Best Newcomer was The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story. The Switch version positions itself at number 7 with 6,400 units sold. The PlayStation versions land at positions 13 and 14. It also remains the only newcomer in the top 20.

We already presented the hardware numbers to you in advance because there was exciting news. The Xbox has outsold the PlayStation 5. The last time that happened was eight years ago, when the Xbox One came out. This time, delivery bottlenecks in particular are likely to have shaped the result.
