Badminton: Imperial Venkatasubbaiah sisters in Germany
The 55th International Bodensee-Jugendturnier smiled on the people of Neuchâtel. In Friedrichshafen in Germany, Gitika Venkatasubbaiah (BC La Chaux-de-Fonds) won in women’s singles and doubles with Julietta Dübendorfer in the under-13s.
His little sister Lolita is not left out. She won the under-11 singles tournament. In U19, Elia Jeanfavre (BCC) placed third in singles and second with club partner Aylin Raminhos.
On the men’s side, Léo Boichat (BCC, M19) took third place in men’s doubles with Geneva’s Maxime Rigo. Badiste from BC Neuchâtel, Nicolas Briancourt (M15) shone by winning in doubles with Aymeric Charbonnier and finishing second in singles. / FCH
Triathlon: very good return from Valérie Schmidt
La Chaux-de-Fonnière Valérie Schmidt made a very good return to competition this weekend during the Kraichgau semi-Ironman in Germany. After suffering an injury to her right leg, she finished second in her category (ladies 40-44).
Coming out of the water fourth (30’36” over 1.9 km in a lake), she made a good ascent by bike with a time of 2h44’15” on a very hilly course (90 km, +1400 m). Party in the lead in running on a not quite flat route (1h39’41” over 21 km). She was caught up on the last kilometer to finish in 5h00’45”, 15 seconds from the first in her category and she ranks eleventh in all categories out of 252 participants.
For this recovery, she is very happy with her feelings. /COMM JCE

Ice hockey: Arnaud Schnegg at HCV Martigny?
HCV Martigny is interested in striker Arnaud Schegg, 21. The Valais club sent him an offer which also provides for a test during the summer in Visp, in the Swiss League. If he accepts this proposal, he would join the HCV Martigny squad in the Swiss Regio League (3rd division) with the possibility for him of being called up by Visp via his B license. Arnaud Schnegg, trained at HC La Chaux-de- Fonds (HCC), played 49 matches last winter with Ajoie (1 goal), in NL, last winter. He also wore the HCC jersey 13 times, notably in the play-offs. /CSP
Athletics: victories for Alexis Perroud and Bradley Lestrade
The young Neuchâtel athletes are in good shape. Le Chaux-de-Fonnier Bradley Lestrade (21, Lausanne-Sport) had an excellent time during the match between the six cantons which was played in Geneva on Saturday 28 May. Over 200 meters, he blocked the clock at 20.89 (+1 m/s of wind), one hundredth more than his personal best. “My season started on very good foundations,” he rejoices before flying to Ostrava (Czechia) where he will participate this Tuesday, May 31 in an international meeting with the Swiss team.
For his part, the young Alexis Perroud (17 years old, CEP Cortaillod) won the first race of his season over 400m/hurdles in M18 at the Langenthal meeting this Thursday, May 26. With a time of 55”63, which is an excellent time (his record is 54”78, he did better than the qualifying limit for the European Under-18 Championships (56”20) It is also the best Swiss performance and should allow it to participate in this continental championship which will take place in Jerusalem (July 3 to 6).COMM JCE

Basketball: Marin’s daughters Swiss U14 champions
Superb performance for Marin’s daughters. A year after a lost final against Lancy, the Neuchâteloises won the title of Swiss U14 champions. In La Chaux-de-Fonds, they won a “final four”.
On Saturday May 28, the team coached by Stéphanie Boué and Nuria Pazos beat Bellinzona 61-53 in the semi-final. In the final on Sunday, the Marinoises made a real recital to defeat Allschwill 52-37. / RED
