The Latvian national rugby team concedes to the Czech Republic in the last game of the first conference of the European Championship

Latvia conceded to the Czech state with 17:54 (3:19).

Throughout the struggle, the Czechs demonstrated better playfulness and physical fitness.

In the 13th minute, Ingus Aivars earned a yellow card and a ten-minute rejection in the fight at his test court, and immediately the Czechs made a landing and scored a 7-0 blow in favor of the Czech Republic.

In the minority, Latvians did not last long, because in the attack on the Latvian test, Jakubs Havels violated the rules of the court, equalizing the number of rugby players on both sides of the court in the 19th minute.

In the 26th minute, in the attack on the left flank, the Czechs made another landing, stopping Jan Kučer. The sales blow performed by Martina Cimprich was inaccurate this time – 12: 0 in favor of the home team.

In the 35th minute, Latvia was also at the first three points after the penalty kick – 3:12.

In the 38th minute, Dan Hoshek made another ground, and the sales hit was successful: 19: 3.

The Latvians started the second half with an attack and in the 42nd minute Toms Asejevs reached 8:19, a moment later the sales blow approached 10:19.

In three minutes the score was 10:33.

In the 52nd minute after the group fight at the Latvian test site, Mareks Šimāks broke out until then, but two minutes later Sheldon Forčens broke out on the left side after the rebound, making a landing in a beautiful flight. Zimprich hit both sales blows.

In the 64th minute, Latvia responded with seven points.

First in the attack on the left side, after a clever pass from Artūrs Alainis with the foot closest to the home team’s turn, it turned out to be Miķelis Jurēvičs, who did not miss this opportunity, but Aigars Šilo scored 17:33.

In the continuation of the game, the Czechs broke into the Latvian test area twice more, gaining a 47:17 lead.

In the 80th minute, Krištofs Kohouts escaped from the Latvian players again, but Zimprihs hit the realization – 54:17, immediately after the game ended.

In the second game of the group on Saturday, Hungary met Sweden.

In April, Latvia defeated Luxembourg 32: 9 in Baldone, but then lost to Sweden 25:46. Last year’s Latvian national team match Covid-19 was canceled last autumn, so the Latvians had their first rugby-15 duel with Luxembourg in the last couple of years.

After the transfer of the games, the Latvian-Hungarian fight is not planned.

The Czech Republic, on the other hand, played two games, beating Luxembourg 39:12 last year and beating Hungary 31:13.

Four legionnaires joined the Latvian national team in the game with the Czechs – Dimitri Fundū from France, Godsfeiver Meduka and Robbie Davidson from England and Anton Oseledko from Sweden.

In turn, such players as Juris Iesalnieks, Kaspars Briedis, Vigo Valdavs and Tomas Davidsons did not take part in the fight.

The Czech Republic is in the division with 15 points in three games, Sweden has ten points in two games, Latvia has earned five points in three matches, Luxembourg has four points in four games and Hungary has earned one point in two games.

In the next cycle, the two divisions will be merged, so that neither of the samples will fall to a lower level. However, the winner will have the opportunity to rise higher.
