Dfter the great success with “Augenblick, not now”created on the occasion of the celebrations for its 25 years of activity, the Compagnia Mayor Von Frinzius back on stage at the Goldoni Theater in Livorno (photo Lorenzo Amore Bianco).
It will be titled “Sleepwalkers, if there is a penalty I’ll throw it” the new theatrical proposal of the founding father of the Company, Lamberto Giannini(assisted in the direction by Rachele Casali, Silvia Angiolini, Marianna Sgherri and Francesco Pacini) which will debut on Thursday 19 May at 9 pm on the stage of the always fascinating structure in via Mayer. A show, produced by Goldoni Theater Foundation and OAMI – with the collaboration of Cooperative Credit Bank of Castagneto Carducci -, which develops from the theme of sleepwalking and from the personal experience of Giannini himself as a sleepwalker. A work, therefore, pervaded by a nocturnal, almost dreamlike atmosphereable to reflect nightmares, ambitions and fears not only of the director but also of his actors and collaborators, ready to move on stage to overcome the boundaries between reality and dreams.
Everything was presented in a conference held inside the Goldoni Theater, in which they participated in addition to Lamberto Giannini and various members of the Company, the mayor Luca Salvetti, Dark Angel (BBC di Castagneto Carducci), the artistic director of the Goldoni Theater, Emanuele Gamba, Francesco Gazzetti (Director of the PD Region of Tuscany) e Piergiorgio Curti (responsabile O.A.M.I.).
“Just the fact of being here to present this show is a great result for us – begins Giannini – I must admit that it was not an easy period, in these two years of pandemic we have tried to keep the group together and always propose something. innovative, despite everything. We are happy to return to the Goldoni, which we now consider as our home and we are also happy for the constant support of the city and the various associations to our initiatives, because without all these subjects it would not be the same. It is a show that comes from a personal experience and that presents all the typical characteristics of the Mayor (grotesque, comic) with the addition of a darker element like the night. In a sense, this work puts an end to a trilogy, which began in 2018 with “Incessant” focused on birth, then continued with “At midnight” about things that end up in the day. Now, therefore, let’s explore the missing dimension: that of the night “.

I have always appreciated the ideas, commitment and hard work of Lamberto and his boys and I am therefore happy to participate in the presentation of a show that will be staged in a Goldoni Theater which is back, thanks to the directors, finally at full capacity after a not an easy period.
