The Sports Festival is back in Monfalcone, on 2, 3 and 4 June at the Green Area Park in Via Valentinis. The traditional Festival dedicated to all sports, promoted by the Municipality of Monfalcone, will see the participation of over twenty local Sports Associations, each with its own specialty: three days dedicated to the presentation of the sports clubs of Monfalcone, which will allow you to attend many demonstrations and to try the proposed activities.
A very rich program also for this edition, by popular demand of the thousands of sportsmen who practice sports in the Monfalcone area: athletics, boxing, tennis, basketball, judo, rowing, football, hockey, karate, climbing, tennis, table, tai chi, qi gong and many others.
The demonstration opens on 2 June and in the three days it will see the participating sports clubs present their offer at the Green Area, with demonstrations and the possibility of practical tests also for the public. On Friday and Saturday, demonstrations by radio amateurs with international connections will accompany the sporting events.
Furthermore, on the day of the inauguration, the boat that – with the athlete and former sports director of the Sailing Society Oscar Cosulich, Manuel Vlassich – will compete in the next international Bol D’Or regattas – on Lake Geneva in Switzerland -, Round the Island – at the Isle of Wight in England – and the well-known Barcolana of Trieste.
Saturday 4th Juneat the end of the demonstration day, appointment with the event of athlete of the year award ceremonyin which the awards will be given to the athlete of the year 2021, to the athletes who achieved the best sporting results in 2021, to the coach and manager who have distinguished themselves most for sporting merits, to the athletes who wore the blue jersey in 2021.
There are also many collateral events that from 29 May to 5 June they will be the setting for the Sports Festival: from the foot race “Running for Marina Julia” to the City of Monfalcone OPEN Trophy on Sunday 29 May, to regattas, cycling competitions, volleyball, basketball and football tournaments, athletics competitions light and karate that will involve the many sports sites of the city, from the Marina Julia beach to sports fields and gyms.
Saturday 4 June the Green Area of Monfalcone will be the arrival point of the first stage of the professional cycling race “Adriatica Ionica”organized by the Sport Union ASD with departure from Tarvisio.
At the end of the initiatives related to the Sports Festival, the now traditional and highly anticipated will start on 5 June at 5.00 pm Time trial from Via Battisti with arrival at the top of the Rocca.
