OAXACA, Oaxaca. May 22, 2022.- The 2022 State Basketball Octagon of the 2006-2007 category in both branches, men’s and women’s, based at the Hermanos Flores Magón Sports Complex, was held in Oaxaca.
The purpose of the contest was to make the state pre-selection for the traditional Oaxaca Cup that will take place in Los Angeles, California, from August 20 to 22 of this year and to which the invitation was made to bring an Oaxacan representation.
After the tournament, 18 men and the same number of women were pre-selected, to start with the work and be able to choose the 12 Oaxacan representatives who will go to the United States.
The contest was held by Rubén Morales, in conjunction with the State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports of Oaxaca (Incude Oaxaca), the Oaxacan Institute of Attention to Migrants (IOAM) and the support of the State Association of Oaxacan Basketball (AEBO).
After the round of matches, the winning teams were awarded, leaving in the women’s branch the Coyotes Xcuidi team, from Santa Cruz Xoxocotlán, followed by Cibat from Tlaxiaco and Halconas from Oaxaca.
In the men’s branch, the monarch was Halcones Oaxaca, followed by the quintet from Cibat, from the Heroic City of Tlaxiaco and in third position the squad of Pitbull Puppies, from San Francisco Telixtlahuca.
