Speaking to the club’s official website after Arsenal’s 5-1 win over Everton, Sunday (22/5), in the 2021/22 English Premier League final, Arteta felt the pain of failing to qualify for the Champions League next season.

“I can’t judge our season today, sorry. I’m still in a lot of pain after what happened yesterday Monday [kalah 2-0 versus Newcastle]and I want to judge our achievements fairly,” he said.

“What I can guarantee is that I — we — squeezed the lemon as hard as we could, down to the last drop, and we’ve reached the point we’ve reached.”

“I’m very disappointed today, because we grew the expectations we wanted, which I want for this football club, because that’s what Arsenal deserved. In the end we failed and the guilt of getting to that level is awful.”

“I’m a winner and hate losing, and we lose when we can win and that’s why I’m in pain. Sorry.”
