The largest mass training of 10 hours with more than 1,200 athletes that took place in the city of Vladivostok, in southeastern Russia, entered the Book of Records, reported the governor of Primorye, Oleg Kozhemiako.
«The most massive and prolonged training involving 15 sports disciplines took place in the Fetísov Arena complex [en Vladivostok]. Players of badminton, volleyball, judo, basketball, sambo, sports dance, boxing, artistic gymnastics, taekwondo, wrestling, athletics, archery, futsal, pistol shooting and ping pong trained for ten consecutive hours (…) The event entered into the Book of Records,” the governor said on the Telegram social network.
The senior official stressed that the event, in which 1,227 athletes participated, was dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War, as the period of World War II is known in the country in the one the Red Army fought to liberate Europe.
“Many thanks to our Olympic champions, world and national championship champions for their participation. Your master classes are a valuable experience for our youth”, stressed the governor.
Kozhemiako specified that it was the first time that he personally took part in a massive training of such magnitude.
