Twelve young lions go to the district championship

The U11 and U13 fighters of the Wermelskirchen judo club were particularly successful again at the district individual championships in the Bergisch Land judo district.

13 judoka from JC Wermelskirchen traveled to the U11 and U13 district individual championships in the Bergisch Land district at the weekend – twelve were so successful that they qualified for the district championships next weekend.

Eight judoka competed in the U11s. Eight judoka were registered here. Ron Trienenjost fought his first tournament and was immediately runner-up. Nikita Pauli fights “best of three” and became district champion after two fast ippons. After two wins and one defeat, Michael Schiefelbein became runner-up. Kamil Nikolajuk also had his very first tournament. He lost twice and was able to win in his last fight and received the bronze medal for his bravery. Matti Gulich also qualified for the district championship. Valentina Picard, Paula Haase and Dennis Häfel became district champions without a fight. They could still compete in friendly fights and show what potential they have.

Five youngsters competed in the U13 group. Leopold Harms was unlucky that day. He was countered out in the second fight. He missed the ticket to the district championship. Phil Cabecana, on the other hand, won his three preliminary round fights and also won the finle. He not only received the gold medal from the organizer, but also the technician’s prize for his great attack judo. Daniil Rudin gained a lot of experience and drives to the district championship with the bronze medal. Julia Scheida becomes district champion without a fight. Marlon Wegwert takes the bronze medal and also the ticket after one win and two losses.
