Legnano Baseball Softball and Rescaldina Bulls for Ukraine
Together we can do great things. This is the sentence that encompasses the great initiative implemented by Legnano Baseball Softball and Bulls Rescaldina, who together responded to the appeal of the Ukrainian national softball manager Vasyl Kysil.
It all started with the Ukrainian manager who, after the outbreak of the war, contacted the red and white club to ask for the possibility of hosting some national team athletes looking for a safe place to train in view of the Under 22 and senior European Championships to be held this year. .
Legnano Baseball Softball and Bulls Rescaldina responded immediately, putting in place a fruitful collaboration in record time, thanks also to the help of Don Enrico, Parish Priest of Rescaldina, Caritas and Proloco Rescaldina.
Yana Matskevych, Yulia Malik and Diana Vashai landed on Wednesday morning at Malpensa airport and in a few days, after the necessary paperwork has been completed, they will be able to take the field with their respective teams. In particular Diana Vashai (pitcher / first base) will wear the shirt of Sacco Legnano while Yulia Malik (pitcher / first base) and Yana Matskevych (external) that of the Bulls Rescaldina, crowning a great humanitarian as well as sporting collaboration.
