The Chicago Cubs and the Los Angeles Dodgers are fighting each other Sunday Night Baseball
opposite and something really strange happened. During a fourth inning at-bat, Cubs catcher Willson Contreras grabbed Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy in the crotch while chasing a wild pitch thrown by Justin Steele. Yes, that actually happened.

After that Muncy needed a minute to collect himself face up.
Was it on purpose? I mean it sure looks like it. I’m not sure how Contreras’ right hand could have gotten to that spot while appearing to grab Muncy at the same time, unless it was on purpose.
That’s pretty dirty and I wouldn’t be surprised if the MLB league office chatted with Contreras after reviewing the tape.
Muncy ended on the go and the Dodgers scored two runs in the innings to give a 2–1 lead.
