Asunción throbs in this way the arrival of the XII South American Games Asunción 2022. The great sporting event was launched yesterday on the Costanera de Asunción with the placement of the marker clock that indicates the days, hours and seconds for the largest sports festival in the country.
The head of the sports portfolio pointed out that the infrastructure works are mostly advanced and was optimistic that they will arrive in the best way. “We are making good progress this last month, we are doing tours practically every other day, hopefully we continue at this good pace that will allow us to get to the games,” he said.
The organization of the games works in the different logistics sectors to be able to receive the athletes who will compete and the public who will come to experience this great party with the best comforts. “We invite the entire national and international community so that they can come to Asunción in these 15 days of celebration that we are going to experience, for the first time in Paraguay. An event of great magnitude, so we are making every effort to do the best we can”, said Galeano.
At the Costanera event, with emotion running high, and in the presence of national authorities, presidents of sports federations, athletes, officials from SND, COP, ASU2022 and supporting companies and influencers, the watch was unveiled, with which the minute by minute will beat towards the start of the event.
Tirika, the mascot and official character of the games, joined in the joy of that moment, enjoying sports activities such as wrestling, karate do, boxing, artistic gymnastics, badminton, rhythmic gymnastics, chess, track volleyball, handball, tennis, table tennis, rowing, zumba and full contact.
