Le Pierced Stone Challenge ? “A very good edition in terms of participant satisfaction and volunteer enthusiasm”, reports Olivier Faudetpresident of Vir ‘King Raid. It must be said that nothing was left to chance and, taking advantage of the richness of the territory of Noues-de-Sienne ( forest of Saint-Sever, Dathée lake, Pond of the Old Castle, arboretum…) the multi-sport nature raid was able to seduce the competitors.

“The feedback we have had has been very positive. Even participants accustomed to raids found the courses offered really great and the supervision of the volunteers very appreciable. Besides, we have a lot of regulars who come back from one year to the next even if, this year, there were 30 fewer teams entered in the Saturday events”.

The increase in fuel will undoubtedly have forced some teams, the furthest away, to give up travel and the resumption of activities, very numerous at the end of June, will have led others to not be available for the raid. “The goal of Vir ‘King Raid is also to highlight and make known the territory.

This year, we had a team from Virginia in the United States. They were delighted to discover the region and planned to return there on vacation,” continues Olivier Faudet. Same satisfaction on the side of the little Vikings who will have inaugurated the canoe event at the pond of the Old Castle.

“It was a first for us to offer this great event. To renew. We always try to offer new events, especially for the little Vikings. Surprising events like this year foot-golf or infernal climb”.

For two days, through various events (orienteering, trail running, bike & run, mountain biking, canoeing, archery, etc.), the Vir ‘King Raid has, as usual, given pride of place to the sporting spirit, but also to the festive and friendly spirit with the pillars of surpassing oneself, discovering the territory and sharing human values. “We really have to emphasize the great welcome from the Municipality of Noues-de-Sienne who was very helpful in organizing the 2022 challenge”. Returning to this territory for the 2023 edition of the Vir ‘King Raid would already be under consideration within the association.
