The Spanish coach who led Levante Feminino arrives as coach of América for the Apertura 2022
Women’s America announced that Ángel Villacampa is the new strategist of the team, with a view to the next tournament Opening 2022 from Liga MX Femenil.

Ángel Villacampa will take the reins of the team, after the departure of Craig Harrington, in search of keeping the team in the limelight in the next Mexican women’s soccer tournament.
The helmsman has experience in Europe, where he highlights that between 2016 and 2018 he directed Atlético de Madrid, with whom he won the Spanish league twice.
After that, he directed the Chinese U-16 team, where he was for a short time to later take the reins of Athletic Club and more recently he was with Levante in Spain.
Now the helmsman arrives at Women’s America looking to bring him to the forefront to guide him to another championship within the Liga MX Femenil.
“It is a great challenge for me to lead the women’s team of this institution with great tradition and winning history, the largest in Mexico. We are going to work to position this squad in the first places and as its philosophy demands, to be at the top and look for the title”, commented the Spanish coach.
