Buccinasco, withdrawn licenses and complaints for driving under the influence of alcohol in the first weekend of summer

Six drunk driving licenses, one reported for resistance to a public official and another for the crime of unjustified carrying of offending objects (a baseball bat). This is the balance of the night checks carried out last weekend in Buccinasco.

The checks were carried out on the stretch of via Vigevanese that crosses the territory of the municipality and on some streets in the town and in the hamlets. Specifically, six driving licenses were withdrawn from four men and two women: subjected to the assessment of the alcohol level, they showed values well beyond the permitted limit. The complaint was then filed against them to the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the crime of driving under the influence of alcohol. Also withdraw the licenses for suspension by the Prefecture.

Not everything went smoothly. During the checks there were also moments of tension. A motorist invited to stop at a halt, in fact, attempted to run over the police at the checkpoint. Once he was stopped, it became clear that the man had been abusing alcohol. Although it was evident that he was in his condition, he refused to undergo the expected test and refused the care of the volunteers of an ambulance called as a precaution.

The agents suspended his license, seized the vehicle and denumciato the judicial authority for resistance to a public official and refusal to ascertain the alcohol level. It is not enough. The evening ended with the notification of a forty-one year old resident in the area to the Prefecture of Milan as a drug user, as a drug user: inside his car he had hidden a joint and a baseball bat. In addition to the withdrawal of his license and the penalty for driving under the influence of alcohol, he was also reported to the Prosecutor for the crime of unjustified carrying of objects capable of offending.
