The blue summer of Riccardo Chinellato and Beatrice Del Pero in the National Under 23 basketball team 3 against 3 does not end. The San Fermo winger and the Cantù play team were in fact promoted after the last meeting which was held in Rome, and since yesterday I am in Oran in Algeria to play the Mediterranean Games in their respective men’s and women’s teams.

An important confirmation for Chinellato who had already played in the last years a European and the Youth Olympic Games; news instead for Del Pero who has been in the National 3×3 for just a month. In fact, both had been called up at the end of May to a first meeting (there was also the Finnish Sofia Frustaci, later not confirmed) and to the first stage of the Fiba Nations League in Tel Aviv (Israel); then a second call for a tournament in Voiron (France); and now this new important international experience. The program includes a day of training for today. Then from tomorrow all the matches of the 19th Mediterranean Games: in particular the quarter-finals on Saturday, any semifinals and finals on Sunday. The participating teams are Italy, Algeria, Cyprus, Croatia, Greece, Egypt, France, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Tunisia.
In the Italian context, on the other hand, Chinellato is awaiting developments after Bakery Piacenza sold the A2 title, while Del Pero, after winning the Scudetto in Schio, moved to Virtus Bologna again in A1.
