Double Olympic champion last summer, Clarisse Agbégnénou gave birth to her very first child this Wednesday, June 15. A little girl with the most significant first name for her mother.

When an Olympic champion becomes a mother. Clarisse Agbégnénou was victorious this time in a whole different way. The professional sportswoman gave birth to her baby girl long awaited.

It is this Friday morning that Clarisse Agbégnénou announced the news. On Instagram, she posted a story to share her happiness with her many subscribers.

A sweet and symbolic first name

It is thus thanks to this story that subscribers were able to discover the first name of the little girl. Her name is Athena, a symbolic first name for the judoka. The baby’s face, however, was hidden by an emoji to preserve his privacy.

Clarisse Agbégnénou therefore did not dwell too much on her childbirth, most certainly to take full advantage of these first family moments. However, she wanted to inform and reassure her fans. She thus wrote a few words on the photo, short, but essential: “Athena is doing very well, and so are we”, she said. The judoka also added two emojis that surely reveal the emotional state in which she finds herself: an emoji moved to tears and a heart.
