TERAMO – Sensations: young, talkative the right and with clear ideas. These are the first impressions obtained by the new coach of the Teramo to SpicchiAndrea GabrielliPesaro, ex Senigallia, in the presentation press conference held this morning at Acquaviva.
Of course, talking about the next championship is practically impossible: the world of basketball is governed by a Federation which, to date, has anchored even the ABC of the regulation on the high seas, let alone that of the groups: yet playing in the South, for example, would require a decidedly different programming, and at all levels, by the club!
The new white and red coach, trained in the youth sector of the historic VL Pesaro (Serie A), is fresh from the excellent championship at the helm of the Senigallia Basketball, which in the last championship achieved the sixth final place, after the first phase, going well beyond those which were the initial expectations. He loves working with young people but …: “I’m not a zealot and my teams need to know how to defend in attack as well. It is essential that this is the system to be applied at every level starting from the youth sectors, while respecting the tactical peculiarities of each coach.“.
Press release follows
Clear ideas and union of intentions. Andrea’s official presentation Gabrielli as the new manager of Rennova Teramo in Serie B he put these concepts in the spotlight. And much more. The intention to create a group that can compete in an increasingly demanding and selective context such as Serie B is (and how it is becoming year after year), the desire to create a common thread between minibasketball, the youth sector and the former red and white team, the goal of stimulating the involvement of fans with a game that can attract and entertain fans.
Coach Gabrielli arrived in the city with excellent intentions: “I am happy to be in Teramo where since my arrival in the city I continue to feel so much enthusiasm. It is this feeling that must merge into a great harmony between the youth sector and the first team. In fact, when there is cohesion, everything becomes simpler. After all, for personal training I am very sensitive to work on young people, even from a first team perspective. And these ideas fit perfectly between me and society. Teramo is a company in the making that is taking one step at a time with great humility”.
The curiosity rises at this point in knowing how the team trained by the coach trained in the youth team of the then Scavolini Pesaro will be: “It’s early to talk about what it will be – Coach Gabrielli specified on the subject – and every day we will all have to work together. Given the very recent reform, it may not be enough to qualify among the top eight but we want to remain in this category because a reality like Teramo deserves to play on this stage. I strongly believe in work and in the fact that in the end the strongest wins. So we don’t have to take anything for granted and be fit at the peak of the season. I do not set myself goals in the sense that every match you have to enter the field to win, then there are teams that declare themselves among the first, noble teams but in the end they come to terms with the field. But I assure you that sweat and commitment to the gym will never be lacking”.
Goaded on the team, the Rennova Teramo technician then added: “I like to rotate the players a lot, a basketball where you defend all over the field and there is great individual responsibility in defense. I am not a “zone man” and I am convinced that in attack it is a mistake to play in a way “regardless”. First you need to see the team you have and then put the characteristics of the players into context to make the group available to you at best. The intent must be to create a game system suitable for the performers. And then there is a need to share the ball and to make everyone feel involved”.
Pres Fabio was also present at the conference Nardiwho welcomed the newcomer and specified about the next season: “What awaits us will be a particular championship – this is the comment of the number 1 of the red and white club – given that to date we still don’t know anything about how it will develop, given the new reform. In May, there was an idea that has been reworked in the last few days. We will try to do everything possible, we who have already done so much in recent years. We always remember that we are a group of friends who are putting their hearts, souls and wallets in and we believe that work can pay off. To date, we don’t even know which groups and teams we will face. However, we know that we will have a coach who will also help us develop a more integrated discussion between the first team and the youth sector, a coach who has a lot of experience in this aspect. Putting the professionalism of coach Gabrielli at the service of this project is certainly an excellent thing”.
