In a talk with the media, the technician Hector Cardenas answered questions about the friendly that will be against Saudi Arabia this Sunday. The coach also clarified the reasons why Luis Amaranth Pereatechnical assistant Nestor Lawrence (Colombia’s new coach) is in concentration in Murcia, Spain.
“Communication has always existed with Amaranto,” was the first thing Cárdenas said when asked about the presence of the technical assistant that Néstor Lorenzo will have at the team hotel. He also said that this communication has existed since Luis Amaranto worked with Junior de Barranquilla.
“Now the meeting was basically to update much of the information we have in this regard, of the tasks that we have been developing and to begin to unify criteria because I think it is part of our task. His presence here is welcome,” he added.
Similarly, Cárdenas indicated that “with Luis (Amaranto Perea) we have spoken barely an hour after arriving at the hotel. We have talked about soccer, the current situation of our athletes and what has been done, but talking about the strategy and of what is going to characterize the selection is premature”.
Apparently, Néstor Lorenzo and his team do not want to leave anything to chance and while the Argentine coach ends his relationship with Melgar from Peru, it will be Luis Amaranto Perea who will be part of the joint process.
It should be remembered that the Colombian National Team will play this July 5, at 12:00 pm, against the Saudi Arabian team, one of the Asian representatives in the Qatar World Cup.
