The Leopards of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) will be in preparation camp in Istanbul, Turkey from June 10 to 28 in anticipation of the 2nd window of the World Cup qualifiers. This 2nd window will be played in Egypt from July 1 to 3, 2022. The World Cup will take place simultaneously in Indonesia, the Philippines and Japan from August 25 to September 10, 2023.
To do this, the technical staff led by the French Thomas Drouot, has made public a list of 19 players who will take part in this preparation. We have in particular the return of Maxi Shamba, Evariste Shonganya, Myck Kabongo and Christian Eyenga who were absent during the 1st window in Dakar, Senegal last February.
In Senegal, the Fauves Congolais had managed to pocket two precious successes against their Kenyan and Senegalese counterparts, losing to the Egyptians. For this window, they only have one victory to validate their ticket for the 3rd window.
