Joan Payeras Llullcollaborator and correspondent of Diario de Mallorca, will present tomorrow Saturday, June 25 in Sa Pobla the book ‘Encistellant il·lusions. 50 years of basketball in Sa Pobla. 1971-2021 ‘of which he is the author.
The book joins the series of Payeras publications that tell the story of the main competitive sports that have been practiced in your town from the beginning of the 20th century to the present: football, athletics, cycling, tennis and basketball.
The The act will take place in the cloister of the Graduate School, whose patio was the cradle of basketball in sa Pobla and the field where the competition matches of the different teams belonging to the clubs AJIC, Club Deportivo Sa Pobla and the current Sa Pobla Bàsquet Club were played, until the inauguration of the Municipal Sports Center pavilion in November 1986.
