The Gladiators became champions of the “Bertha Chiu” Municipal Women’s Basketball Tournament in the Free category, by defeating the Vikingas A team in the final, while the Rebeldes team obtained third place.
The director of the Municipal Institute of Sports and Physical Culture of Ciudad Juárez, Juan Escalante, was in charge of handing out the medals and recognizing the efforts of each member of the teams that participated in the tournament.
“Congratulations to each of the teams, to Vikingas for second place and to Gladiadoras for obtaining the championship and that they continue to hold the tournaments in our town,” said the director.
The first three places received their respective medals, as well as basketballs.
On the other hand, Juan Escalante announced that a First Force Municipal Tournament will be held.
“We are going to have a very strong tournament, different to create a first-rate team, which I think we should already have, because we plan to hold some state and national events and we must have our bases and our key players,” he said.
