Last Saturday, at the Margalot gymnasium in the city of Río Grande, the Patagonian Judo Tournament “40 Years of the Gesta de Malvinas” was held. More than 200 athletes competed in it.

he Carlos Margalot gym in the city of Río Grande was the epicenter, last Saturday, of the Patagonian Judo Tournament “40 Years of the Gesta de Malvinas”, attended by more than 200 lovers of this martial art.
The first actions took place with the opening ceremony where, without a doubt, the presence of representatives of the Malvinas War Veterans Center marked a point of reflection for those present.
The event was attended by judokas from different latitudes of the southern cone, both Argentine and Chilean, resulting from joint work carried out by the Municipal Agency for Sports, Culture and Youth of the city in the north of the province and the Fuegian Judo Federation. Athletes from Santa Cruz localities attended such as; El Calafate, Las Heras, Río Gallegos, there was also a representation from Neuquén with an element from San Martín de Los Andes, from Chile came the Yama Harashi and Pudeto groups from the town of Punta Arenas who joined the representatives of Tolhuin, from our city with Municipal School, plus the hosts and Social Judo, Police School.
The development was intense since three tatamis were arranged where the disputes were carried out simultaneously, which took about 10 hours to crown the winners.
