The Montefiascone initiatives are bringing many young people aged 6 to 14 closer to these sports
NewTuscia – MONTEFIASCONE – Montefiascone Baseball’s initiatives to restart its youth sector continue unabated.
After the debut in Monteriggioni on 2 June of the first group of minibaseball, the company proposed to include baseball within the GREST of the parishes, which brings together over 300 children aged 6 to 13. The enthusiastic welcome of Don Marco and Don Domenico made it possible to organize matches between the different teams of GREST, divided by age, allowing everyone to try one of the most exciting sporting actions: the joke.
Therefore, every morning, on two fields at the same time, the four teams for each age category meet in the semifinals and finals, giving rise to a daily ranking, which then, together with the results of the other games, will give a final ranking, where, in truth, whoever has more fun wins.
Great was the enthusiasm of the boys and girls, many of whom showed a good eye and coordination: A BOY HAS ALSO MADE AN OFF-SCREEN!
Several boys and girls then decided to move to the camp, starting to form age groups. It should be emphasized that several girls showed interest, also making the technicians hypothesize the formation of both mixed teams, as expected, but also only female, taking up the tradition of Montefiasconese softball.
After the GREST, which will end at the end of June, the company is organizing the meeting of Batti and Cresci in Montefiascone for Sunday 3 July, to which Grosseto and Chianti have already joined, a company that brings together young people from the Florence area.
In July, the New Angel summer camp will also begin right on the baseball field, thus allowing other boys and girls to experience these games.
It should be emphasized that in this promotional phase Montefiascone Baseball offers a long free period, until the end of September, to then decide whether to continue for free or with a small fee.
Given the new daily subscribers, the company does not rule out organizing the formation of the new U12 team as early as September, in order to also participate in the Lazio cup.
