Is a new US boy coming to Zwickau? Enoch’s trip to New York

Joe Enochs spent the last few days in New York. Not only the vacation was in the foreground. At the same time he is trying to guide the next US boy to FSV.

Zwickau/New York – Joe Enochs (50) spent the last few days in New York – the city that never sleeps in American vernacular. He jumped across the pond while on vacation to see his nephew play in Major League Baseball. At the same time he tries to find the next US boy Zwickau to guide.

Joe Enochs in the stands? Doesn’t exist in Zwickau! When his nephew Spencer Enochs Torkelson (22), chosen first by the Detroit Tigers in 2020, plays against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium, it no longer keeps his uncle in his seat. Enochs was excited. In the free minutes in between, he committed himself to US tryouts, which had been on his agenda for a long time.

With Johan Gomez (20), Enochs managed a coup last summer. The 20-year-old Texan came from FC Porto on the recommendation of his contacts in the States and hit the road with six goals and two assists. Now Enochs has his sights set on the next compatriot in Samuel Adeniran (23) from the first division side Seattle Sounders.

“He’s at home on both flanks attacking and has incredible speed. Samuel had previously tried to gain a foothold in Germany with regional division club Delmenhorst and Oberliga club Emden, but then went back to the US premier league because he was improving there chances”, Enochs outlines the athletic profile of the US boy.

Adeniran then also came into the second division (USLC), in which ex-Dynamo Dennis Erdmann (31) is currently also playing, in 2021 in 30 games and 13 goals. So a man for Zwickau? Enochs: “I spoke to his advisor so that we can see him in the first week of training in Zwickau. At the moment there is a problem with the release from Seattle.”
