This Sunday, June 12, took place, in Villebon-sur-Yvette, the French championship by Junior men’s and women’s teams. The boys of l’ASC Judo were able to beat PSG in the semi-finals and reached second place on the podium.
For several years, the ASC had been beautiful routes in France by cadet or junior teams, girls or boys. But each time, they finished at the foot of the podium. This year, more determined and prepared than ever, they were able to reverse the trend, and mark the history of the club thanks to 6 judokas. Indeed, this Sunday, June 12, 2022 the club has just won the title of vice-champion of France Judo by Junior teams in Villebon-sur-Yvette. ASC Judo judokas beat PSG Judo, one of the best French clubs, in the semi-finals, their team counting several French champions. L’ASC s’incline unfortunately in the end against ACBB Judo.
Le coach Thibault Denisproud of his team, says more about the meeting: “We knew we had a great team but we weren’t favorites either. Their courage and state of mind made the difference. Here they are vice-champions of France. Their journey has not been easy. They had to hang on to recover from critical situations (led 2-0 in the quarter-finals for example) but their extra soul allowed them to Excel. Especially during the memorable semi-final against PSG Judo that they win very well 3-1 »
The Amiens team was also in alliance with two Picardy clubs, one from Somme, Chepy club and one from the Oise on GS Senlis Judo. « All of this would not have been possible without the help of outside clubs with dual memberships. So a big thank you to GS Senlis Judo Raphael’s club and Judo club Chépy Jean’s club! » adds the Amiens coach.
Composition of the men’s team:

Women also on the tatamis
The team feminine was not unworthy either. She largely wins her first meeting then loses, despite a very nice course, in the round of 16, where she lost without being able to be fished out afterwards. ” The women’s team could have done much better. After a 4-1 victory in the first round, she lost in the 2nd round 3-2. It’s really a shame”, explains Thibault Denis. As for the men’s team, the girls of ASC Judo called on two other clubs: that of the Chaulnes et de Ressons-sur-Matz.
Composition of the women’s team:

More proud than ever of the weekend’s results, the ASC Judo coach also thank all those who supported them : “We wanted to thank the supporters who set the mood in the dome. And to say thank you to all the people who have supported us from a distance and who have congratulated us. And you were many! » concludes Thibault Denis.
