Dhe sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) has imposed a seven-month ban and a fine of 5,000 euros on coach Uwe Wolf for unsportsmanlike conduct in several cases.
The start of the ban for the then coach of the Southwest Regional League club VfR Aalen was set retroactively to February 17, as the DFB announced on Tuesday evening. As of July 1, the remainder of the suspension will be suspended, with the probation period ending December 31, 2023. Wolf agreed to the verdict, so it is final.
“Taunting” and “false statements”
The split with the VfR came in mid-February after alleged “rabble”, “false statements” and other gross misconduct, the club said at the time.
On September 28, 2021, the 54-year-old said and behaved insultingly towards spectators of the home team in a game at VfB Stuttgart II. In addition, on October 9, 2021, in the game at FC Homburg, when he was banned from the interior, Wolf violated the associated ban on contact with the team.
In the run-up to the resulting sports court hearing on December 7, 2021, Wolf also tried to influence one of his players before his testimony, the DFB statement said.
