Marcel Lacasse lands with the Eagles

The Trois-Rivières Aigles have signed a new Quebec hitter, Marcel Lacasse, who will join the team tonight.

The 23-year-old from Gatineau attended two Texas universities between 2017 and 2020. He also stood out during these years when he played 93 games during which he hit the long ball 22 times, in addition to producing 94 dots. Lacasse spent one season in the NCAA with the West Texas A&M Buffaloes.

Due to the cancellation of the 2020 season, he returned home and joined the Tyrans de Gatineau team in the Quebec Junior Elite Baseball League. Moreover, the Quebecer had been named the best offensive player in the League.

In 2021, the 6”1 player wore the jersey of the Barrie Baycats, in the Intercounty Baseball League. He played 25 games while posting a .273 batting average. The young Lacasse can occupy different positions in the infield and will therefore be a good asset for the Trois-Rivières team.
