Myanmar vs Singapore results in 2023 Asian Cup Qualification: The Lions are furious, Wins 6-2 against Myanmar: Okezone Bola

RESULTS Myanmar vs Singapore in the 2023 Asian Cup Qualifying Group F has been known on Tuesday (14/6/2022) night WIB. The Lions (the nickname of the Singapore National Team) managed to bulldoze their opponent with a score of 6-2.

Unfortunately, the Lions’ victory did not change their fate to qualify for the 2023 Asian Cup finals. They had to settle for finishing in third place by collecting three points in Group F of the 2023 Asian Cup Qualification. Meanwhile, Myanmar was at the bottom with 0 points.

The course of the match

First round

Singapore appeared dominant in the first round. The Lions-Singapore’s nickname- continues to attack Myanmar’s defenses.

After just nine minutes, Singapore was able to break the deadlock through Ikhsan Fandi’s header. Singapore did not relax the attack even though it was superior.

Christopher Van Huizen also threatened the Myanmar goal in the 11th minute. However, his shot from distance was still able to be thwarted by Myanmar goalkeeper Pyae Pyo Thu.

Singapore then managed to double its advantage thanks to Song Ui-young’s action in the 16th minute. Shahdan Sulaiman’s pass was able to convert it into a goal and change the score to 2-0.

Singapore continues to add to the coffers of goals. At minute 42, it was Gabriel Quak’s turn who contributed a goal and left Myanmar with a score of 3-0.

Second round

Behind 0-3 did not make Myanmar discouraged. In the second half, Myanmar managed to reduce the position through an effort by Win Naing Tun.

But unfortunately, a minute later, Singapore again managed to get away through Ikhsan Fandi’s goal. Utilizing Faris Ramli’s gastric bait, the Thai club player, BG Pathum United, immediately struck the ball into the goal.

Entering 66 minutes, Singapore players made a mistake. It was immediately put to good use and resulted in a goal to reduce the position scored by Aung Kaung Mann.

Ikhsan Fandi went crazy in this match. The son of Singapore football legend, Fandi Ahmad, completed his hat-trick in the 69th minute, the score changed to 5-2.

Singapore closed the goal feast through Hafiz Nor’s volley in the 89th minute. Nur Adam’s bait was converted into a goal which changed the score to 6-2.

No goals were scored until the game was over. Singapore won comfortably, but both teams have certainly not qualified for the 2023 Asian Cup finals.
