Nadal changes tennis for golf and is fourth in the Balearic Championship

Palm, June 18. Rafael Nadal has changed the tennis racket for golf clubs this Saturday and occupies fourth position in the absolute Balearic championship that is being played in the Son Servera field (Mallorca) by delivering a card with 76 strokes, 4 above of the field pair.

One day after announcing that he will attend the Wimbledon tournament if the positive feelings he has experienced this week in his training sessions on the grass courts at the Mallorca Country Club continue, Nadal has once again participated in a golf competition, the other great sport you practice

The winner of 22 Grand Slam titles, the last of them a fortnight ago at Roland Garros, had an uneven start on the first holes of the course in Son Servera.

He needed 8 shots to get out of the 5th hole (par 5), and although he reacted with a ‘birdie’ on the 9th hole, the Majorcan tennis player made another two ‘bogeys’ before facing the final round, in which he was more successful with 7 holes completed at par, a bogey and a birdie.

The Majorcan tournament leader is Marc Bisellach with 72 strokes, followed by Víctor Mirón (75) and Patrick Woolmington (75).

As announced by Nadal, this Monday he will travel to London to face the Hurlingham exhibition tournament that will begin on Tuesday in the British capital, and in which he will coincide with the Murcian tennis player Carlos Alcaraz and the Serbian Novak Djokovic.

Later, if his injury -Müller Weiss syndrome- allows him, he will compete at Wimbledon, a tournament he has won twice (2008 and 2010) and has not attended since 2019. EFE
