Nancy. First medieval festival in the heart of the René II/Bonsecours district

It will be a first here, for a beautiful anniversary: on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of its creation, the Saint-Pierre/René II/Bonsecours district is having a rather original party this Saturday: it will indeed put on a costume medieval all day.

From 10:30 a.m., inside the Robert-Leprun stadium, you can stroll through the heart of a small medieval village set up by the Ménil-Saint-Michel troupe (based in Flavigny-sur-Moselle), a troupe that will present also, throughout the day and on several occasions, one of the equestrian shows of which she has the secret. Its first run is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and the grand finale at 5 p.m. And throughout the day, various introductions to period games and sports (archery, soule, etc.) will be on the program, with the City’s sports educators.

At midday, it’s time for a meal… also in medieval style. “On the menu, we will have, for example, chicken broth, a dish made with almond milk and spices, white bean ragout, or coppice for dessert, a kind of apple-cinnamon pudding”, specifies Chantale Rucci, president of the festival committee. A committee which has therefore joined forces with various structures (neighborhood life workshop, office for the elderly, MJC Pichon, Club des Amis de Saint-Pierre) to go back in time, the catering part being provided by the Boite à Cuisine ( reservations possible at 07.69.12.46.35).
