NHL | Minnesota traded forward Fiala to Los Angeles

Fiala scored a maximum of 85 points, 33 goals and 52 assists from 82 games. He had three pass breakups in six playoff games. In 2014, he was drafted in the 1st round in the 11th place by Nashville, from where he moved to Minnesota in February 2019 in exchange for Finnish forward Mikael Granlund.

“He had a great season, scoring 85 points. But we don’t have room in the salary cap. To keep him, we would have to trade three or two players and weaken our team even more. We knew we would have to trade him. We need young players who they’re not going to make millions of dollars,” Guerin told NHL.com.

In nine seasons in the NHL, Fiala has 419 games and 283 points (124+159). He collected 15 points (9+6) in 35 playoff duels. With the Swiss national team, he won silver at the World Championships in Copenhagen and Herning in 2018.

Nineteen-year-old American Faber plays for the University of Minnesota in the NCAA. The participant of the February Olympics in Beijing was drafted by the Kings in the 2nd round in 2020 at the 45th position.
