Paul Pogba will reportedly earn £3.8m (Rp69bn) in loyalty bonuses once he leaves Manchester United as free agent end of June.

The Red Devils confirmed Pogba’s departure in a statement on Wednesday (1/6) yesterday, and his second tenure at Old Trafford will officially end when his contract expires on 30 June.

But the French national team midfielder was not going to leave empty-handed or for free, because he is said to be receiving one last bonus.

According to reports Daily MailPogba will receive a £3.8 million “loyalty bonus” from Manchester United.

This is because of the clause that was put into the 29-year-old’s contract when The Red Devils repatriated him from Juventus in 2016 for £89 million – the record for the most expensive transfer of all time at the time.

The 2021/22 season has been a very disappointing season for Pogba and Man United.

After making seven assists from the first four games in the Premier League, Pogba was only able to contribute two additional assists and one goal contribution in the rest of the season due to injuries that came and went.

Now, after six seasons with the Red Devils, Pogba has not extended his contract and has GOAL can confirm that Pogba is one step away from reuniting with Juventus.

His second spell at Old Trafford began with huge expectations, but went on and ended in disappointment. Pogba was only able to lift the League Cup and Europa League trophies in his debut season, and after that he won the title for five years.

After it was announced that he would leave, Pogba sent a farewell message to the Red Devils fans at Instagram: “I am honored to play for this club,” Pogba wrote.
