OLYMPIC DAY in Luchon-Superbagnères Wednesday 22 June

The Departmental Council organizes the Olympic and Paralympic Day, in Luchon-Superbagnères Wednesday, June 22 from 9:30 a.m.

120 high school students from Haut-Garonne are expected in Luchon-Superbagnères.

Wednesday June 22, on the occasion of Olympic and Paralympic Day 2022,

a day on the theme of Olympism and the mountains, in collaboration with the Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee 31, the Syndicat Mixte Haute-Garonne Montagne and the UNSS 31.

Line Malric, vice-president in charge of Sport, Sport health and Patrice Rival, vice-president in charge of Rurality, Mountains and Thermalism, departmental councilor of the canton of Bagnères-de-Luchon, will be present to welcome the 120 pupils of the colleges residents of Aspet, Aurignac, Cazères, Loures-Barousse, Montréjeau and Saint-Gaudens and talk with them about the theme of the day.

The Department of Haute-Garonne is labeled “Terre de Jeux” as part of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Olympic and Paralympic Day officially takes place on June 23 every year. More than a sporting event, this day is organized to promote the Olympic values ​​throughout the world on the basis of the three pillars “move, learn and discover”.

During this day, many sporting activities will be offered to the 120 schoolchildren (archery, Handisport, Basque pelota, etc.), as well as the discovery of the resort of Luchon-Superbagnères, the fauna, flora and the environmental Protection.
