Peru continues to add wins and medals at the XIX Bolivarian Games Valledupar 2022, Colombia

National athletes won this Monday 3 gold medals in judo, gymnastics and shooting, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals.

On a very special day for national sport, the delegation of athletes competing in the XIX Bolivarian Games Valledupar 2022, Colombia added, this Monday, 10 medals in the general table of triumphs (3 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze ), accumulating 37 medals so far (9 gold, 11 silver and 17 bronze).

Peru currently occupies the fourth position in the general medal table after Colombia, Venezuela and Chile, respectively, above seven countries that also compete in this event that marks the beginning of the Olympic cycle.

Judoka Daryl Yamamoto in the 100 kg category, Brianda Rivera in Women’s Sports Pistol Shooting, 25 meters and gymnast Ana Karina Méndez, in uneven bars, won the gold medals. The silver medals came through Cristian Morales from Shooting, Air Rifle – 10 meters, judoka Camila Figueroa in the 70 kg category and the men’s Bowling team made up of Adrián Guibu, Aldo Guibu, Kenny Kishimoto and Víctor Tateishi.

The bronze medals were won by the women’s lightweight quadruple rowing team made up of Carla Morales, Pamela Noya, Alessia Palacios and Valeria Palacios – Women’s lightweight quadruple rowing. Likewise, Adriana Sanguinetti, Pamela Noya, Alessia Palacios, Valeria Palacios de Remo also achieved bronze in Four Pairs of Short Rows (W4X) Women.

It is important to note that the Yuta Galarreta judokas in the 90 kg. and Yuliana Bolívar in the +78 kg category. They won the bronze medals for our country, making judo – until now – the most successful sport.
