When the Henri Royer space reopens its doors, it smells like summer in Sable-sur-Sarthe (Sarthe) !
The leisure centre will welcome visitors again from this Saturday, June 11, 2022.
This year again, the site is full ofanimations alongside its traditional activities on the edge of Sarthe : paddle, canoearchery game or even course d’orientation.
Every Wednesday, free stage for artists
On certain Fridays and Sundays, the associations will come to animate the base. For exemple, The Happy Housethird place for the wellnesswill offer swing workshops on Friday, July 8 and Sunday, July 10 from 7 to 8 p.m.
The club of triathlon of Sable-sur-Sarthe will set up sports events on Saturday June 25 and Sunday June 26 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Every Wednesday, from July 20 to August 24, the stage will be free for all artistic performances: theater, musique or poetry. From July 12 to August 27, volunteers will be able to learn about climbing and at archery.
Challenges with family or friends
Challenge on the water, creation… Each week, new challenges will be taken up with friends or family.
Wednesday, July 13, place at the Ventri’gliss from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. for a maximum of slide, course d’orientation on the water or on land on Wednesday, August 3 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. or marksmanship sessions Wednesday, August 10 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
A new welcome for bicycles
To prepare for this new summer season, a few works of refreshment have been undertaken: flower boxes changed, a good coat of paint affixed to the entrance of the site “to find the blue of Henri Royer”, underlines Nicolas Leudière, mayor of Sable-sur-Sarthe.
But the elected official assures us, it is within the framework of a more global reflection with the public garden located on the other side of the road than the leisure centre could change further.
It is fundamental work that we want to undertake.
New in terms of the services offered, a bicycle reception is installed on the site.
Visitors will be able to take advantage of a parking lot for their two-wheelers, documentation dedicated to cycle routesa charging station for electrical equipment, etc.
Combine hiking, biking and canoeing
A new formula combining Trek, bike et canoe was also thought of.
The principle ? The outward journey is done by bike between Henri Royer and the Halte de Juigné via Solesmes Abbey. Athletes can picnic at the Juigné stopover or at the guinguette leisure centre.
For the return, you can take the Sarthe by canoe from Juigne to Henry Royer.
Other animations next
The site retains its guinguette where customers can find fast food with a picnic area available.
The objective is also to create moments of sharing between parents and children.
Alongside the entertainment at Henri Royer, Saboliens will also be able to take advantage of outdoor cinema as well as festivals Pop au Parc and of baroque music which will frame the months of July and August.
