The 20 soccer players summoned by Luis Alvarado from Honduras for the 2022 Under-20 World Cup

The Concacaf unveiled on Friday official lists of the 20 footballers of each of the 20 teams that will participate in the U-20 World Cup to be held in the cities of San Pedro Sula and Honduras between June 18 and July 3.

This junior tournament will give four direct passes to the Indonesia World Cup 2023 and two tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics.

La Bicolor, which is led by Louis Alvarado, has in its ranks six footballers from the Royal Spain and it is the team in the National League that contributes the most, followed by marathon with three, Life with two just like UPNFM.

Olimpia, one of the clubs that has added the most in this type of category in recent years, on this occasion brings two youngsters who are Kevin Josué Guiti Marín and Heber Núñez, both without prominence in the first division.

The most experienced among those summoned are Isaac Castillo, Odin Ramos and Jeyson Contreras, Marco Aceituno, Antony García and Miguel Carrasco, they added minutes in the Clausura 2022 tournament of the National League and it allows them to have a greater friction than the rest of their teammates,

The Bicolor is located in the Group H together with Costa Rica, Jamaica and Antigua and Barbuda, will debut on June 18 at 8:30 PM at the Morazán stadium in San Pedro Sula.

Honduras is head of the group along with the United States, Mexico and Panama due to their good position in the FIFA U-20 Ranking.

The start of the tournament will be on June 18 with the group stage, where the best three from each group will advance to the round of 16, joining the four winners of the qualifying round. (Curaçao, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Puerto Rico) to be played on the 25th and 26th of the same month.

This will be followed by the quarterfinals (June 29), where the four winners will seal their place in the 2023 U-20 World Cup in Indonesia.

The two teams that win their respective semifinals, that is, the finalists, will obtain the ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
