The powder blue colored jerseys with navy accents feature “Brew Crew” on the front, marking the first time the team has worn something with the fan-favorite nickname. Not only do the colors pay homage to the flag of the people of Milwaukee, but they also evoke Lake Michigan and the sun.
Just like the franchise logo that hides a baseball in the glove-shaped M, this City Connect jersey packs a little surprise. When you look closely at the cap and the bottom of the jersey, you will find the acronym “MKE” (the abbreviation of General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee) in which is also the number 414, the city code!
Additionally, the jerseys feature a patch of a grill with baseball stitching on the sleeve as a nod to Wisconsinites who wait year-round for baseball season so they can take the grill out to stadium parking lots.
The team will wear these jerseys for the first time during the June 24-26 series against the Blue Jays. After that, the Brewers will wear them for Friday night home games and community nights.
