The French men’s archery team won its ticket to the final of the Mediterranean Games in Oran (Algeria) this Wednesday. Qualified in the semi-final by forfeit of Slovenia, Romain Fichet, Iban Bariteaud, Nicolas Bernardi then won against Italy 6-0. They will face Spain in the final on Friday morning.
Les Bleues, on the other hand, lost in the semi-finals against Turkey (5-1), after having eliminated Spain and their regulars from the world circuit on an extremely tight shoot-off in the quarters (24-24 in the shoot-off, X -8-6 for France, 10-8-6 for Spain). Laurena Villard, Anaëlle Florent and Lucie Maunier will have to get rid of Greece on Friday morning to get on the podium.
