The Samuel Ferrer Memorial was held today in the pavilion of the same name with the participation of more than a hundred athletes. Specifically, almost 110. A record figure, surpassing those of predecessor editions and returning to the new normality since the tournament played at Fairs lowered the number.
The atmosphere has also been felt in the stands, where family and friends have gathered to watch high-level matches. Clubs from the province and region have attended the event -El Cañete, Provencio, Albacete, Moral de Calatrava…-, but also from other communities, such as Comunidad Valencia and Madrid.
The awards ceremony was attended by the brother of Samuel Ferrer, José María, the president of the Albatros Badminton CD, Agustín Jiménez, the Councilor for Sports, Charo Rodríguez, and the president of the Casablanca AAVV, Mari Carmen Checa.
