The Zone active Mauricie improves its offer

At the end of 2021, the Mauricie Regional Leisure and Sports Unit (URLS) launched the interactive map https://www.zoneactivemauricie.ca, a reference for locating places to practice sports and outdoor activity sites in Mauricie. At the dawn of the summer holidays, it is with the intention of getting people of all ages moving and taking advantage of the multitude of possibilities that can be found close to home that she has set up this interactive map.

There are now more than 20 types of sports infrastructure for the practice of sports activities, ranging from pétanque to archery, disc golf and pickleball. With a simple and user-friendly presentation, you can select the options of your search, either by identifying the infrastructure or the sport you wish to practice or even making a choice by location. You will discover the opportunities for practice that arise there at the same place or nearby.

It is also possible to refine your search by selecting different characteristics sought, such as the possibility of renting or even free access. This interactive map project is an initiative of Hélène Houde, physical activity counsellor, and Julie Laroche, outdoor counselor at the URLSM. These were supported by Dominique Castonguay and Lise Déry, leisure counsellors. (JC)
