“They threatened me with a gun”

In the late afternoon of Monday, near the post office in via IV Novembre in Vicenza, the flying section of the police headquarters – together with the mobile team and the crime prevention department of Padua – intervened following a request received at 113 from a Dominican who he feared being attacked by two of his compatriots. According to the man, one of the two, through a message sent via WhatsApp, threatened him with a gun.

The intervening agents first cleared the area outside the building where the applicant was hiding and then identified a car in which there were two Dominican citizens. After the investigations, it emerged that the applicant had been subjected, a few hours earlier, to threats by one of the two suspects. The reference to the use of the weapon led the operators to carry out personal and home searches against the two subjects. The policemen thus found at the home of one of the two a reproduction of a Bruni model 92 9 Pa Knal pistol fitted with a red cap and “blank” cartridges.

In addition, a baseball bat and a kitchen knife were found and confiscated in the passenger compartment of the car. Therefore, following the initial findings, both subjects (BRRM, Dominican class ’96 and SRVM, compatriot class ’02) were reported as being held responsible for the crimes of aggravated threats.
