Fair and spectacular: Third day of fighting for Schmölln/Altenburg judokas
Altenburg/Schmölln. The judokas from PSV Schmölln and SV Unity Altenburg fight as a team in the Saxon State League. On the 3rd day of the fight, the teams from Chemnitz PSC Budo and TSV 1864 Schlettau met in the Schmöllner Ostthüringenhalle. During the two hours, the men of the teams who had traveled offered the spectators beautiful judo. The visitors rewarded the fair and exciting fights and partly spectacular techniques with a lot of applause.

Felix Schützner, Marcel Wolff, Tim Zwerenz, Jan Gabler, Silvio Täuscher, Christoph Köhler, Tim Romisch, Tom Graichen and Ben Völkel started for the Altenburg-Schmölln men’s team. While first Schlettau and Chemnitz faced each other, the Altenburg-Schmöllner tightened their tactics, because it was important to choose the athletes correctly, since one weight class could not be occupied.

The first encounter ended with 5:2 for Chemnitz. After a short break, the fighters from Schmölln/Altenburg and Schlettau went onto the tatami. Here the Sprottestädter Felix Schützner, Marcel Wolff, Tim Zwerenz and Jan Gabler got the Ippons and won 4:3. In the third team fight of the day, the Schmöllners changed their line-up. Felix Schützner, Christoph Köhler and Silvio Täuscher won against Chemnitz. The Chemnitz team decided the game 4:3 for themselves.

The Schmöllners go to Bischofswerda for the last day of the season. Here they will fight against Döbelner SC for ninth place.
